Pipera City, Bucharest
Train and Kemp has been appointed as Project Managers by Creativ on their €500million development in Pipera City, on the outskirts of Bucharest.
The scheme takes up a full city block as a mixed residential and commercial development. It has eight blocks up to 15 storeys high, constructed over a common basement. Organised over a number of phases, construction will extend over the next five years.
Mike Spencer, the Principal in charge, reports that one of the challenges will be with the infrastructure, ensuring that services distribution and vehicular circulation is accommodated with the phasing. "Understanding Romanian planning law and building codes is going to be a steep learning curve", he added.
