Safety inspection in Sports Grounds: No Red Card for Millwall Football Club
Train and Kemp have completed the annual structural inspection of the Millwall FC stadium and ground, recommending that its operating licence is renewed for the next 12 months. The inspection and assessment were completed in accordance with the ‘Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds’ and included the structures, the crowd barriers and the seating.
Such safety inspections are a combination of structural surveys and safety risk assessments and as Structural Engineers and CDM Coordinators is an area in which Train and Kemp excel.
Inevitably such an assessment raised a few safety and maintenance issues which have been discussed with the Stadium Manager and he is in the process of addressing these.
